Become an accredited Mental Health First Aider with MHFA Australia
Do you wish you were more knowledgeable and confident to support loved-ones, clients and friends with mental health challenges?
Mental health first aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a friend, family member, client or colleague developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. MHFA is not about diagnosing or telling people what they should do to get better. It is about being confident and competent to open up the dialogue with a person and support them to access the help they might need.
Rosie Overfield from Mindpod is an experienced counsellor, educator and MHFA Instructor. She will guide you through the 12 hour Standard program, covering depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance misuse. Crises include suicidal thoughts and behaviours, panic attacks and psychotic episodes.
Held over four consecutive Monday evenings at Dulcie Joe Co, your investment includes your 140-page professional manual, local mental health resources and your accreditation with MHFA Australia for 3 years. Refreshments will be provided at each session.
Monday 20 March | Monday 27 March | Monday 3 April | Monday 10 April (all sessions are 6-9pm)
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST ATTEND ALL FOUR SESSIONS TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR ACCREDITATION WITH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID AUSTRALIA.
